As a market junkie, I enjoyed all the hustle and haggling at this market. Yes, some vendors will grab your sleeve to have your attention. Yes, all vendors will be asking you to see their 'authentic' wares. Yes, most of the stuff sold here is utter crap (except for the top floor) and overpriced if you don't haggle hard. But if you are looking for cheap crap to bring home from China, this is the place. But in order to get a good deal you have to learn how to haggle. Never make a counter-offer higher than 10% of what the vendor asks. I usually counter them with 5% of the initial price and only go up by about 1% at a time. If they say 'no', I walk away. 90% of the time, they will call you back and continue haggling. The key is to keep smiling and knowing that everything for sale here is available at multiple stalls.
I also highly recommend a much quieter building in the back of the main market, away from the road. That's where toy market and wholesale market is located. There are much fewer people there and much less pressure from the vendors.
