“Better than my last experience with st. Regis Al Saadiat ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

Had my first experience with st. Regis Al Saadiat Island and it was bad. This time with St . Regis Beijing is much better.

Room set and interiors very good yet the room is a bet small

The main restaurant closes very early for people are in business trips they close at 0930

Loved the hotel and the stay

Regards

If I go back to Beijing I would probably stay at the St Regis again. Great service all around with a much appreciated breakfast buffet, especially since we never quite knew what was in store for us for meals the rest of the day (we found eating to be a bit of an adventure in China). And what I'm going to say next might seem trivial, but the room-service coffee was hands-down the best coffee I have ever tasted. If you go and are a coffee lover, do yourself a favor and order some of the room-service coffee!

Our family of four stayed in an Ambassador Suite. The suite was beautifully furnished with comfortable couches and practical dining table and seats. The large bathroom was spacious, bright and clean. Service was at the usual St. Regis high standards - subtle, discreet and very efficient. We dined at the Italian restaurant and coffee shop, and food quality was above average, though I think there are better options outside. The hotel is located in a safe and high-class diplomatic enclave but not really convenient for shopping and dining as there are not many such establishments within walking distance. Overall a nice stay but pity about the location.

Room Tip: The suites are nice and relatively reasonably priced

On an extended tour of China, this was by far our favorite home away (we even stayed at other St. Regis)! After exhilarating & long day tours it was absolute heaven returning to The St. Regis Beijing. Elegant surroundings, spacious suite, lush bedding, impeccable service, etc. Sadly, our full touring schedule did not allow for the use of the fabulous hotel amenities; but, we did enjoy the butler service and lovely breakfast buffet. Should we find ourselves in Beijing, The St. Regis will again be our home away!

Let me first start by saying I used points and suite night upgrades for this stay of 5 nights. We got upgraded to a "Statesman Suite."

There were 2 things that were spectacular about this suite, the beds (better than any hotel I've ever stayed in) and the butler service. You could call for ANYTHING. To have tea delivered every morning freshly made vs a tea bag from your room. So nice.

The Concierge team were AMAZING! They booked private 1 day tours for us and dinner reservations. Any time we went out on our own, they printed directions in Chinese to give to the taxi or Uber (way better than taxi's in Beijing) driver.

If your room includes breakfast or not, it's one of the biggest buffet/spreads I've ever seen in a hotel.. There's nothing you couldn't get to eat. And all delicious.

Now for the downside, when I've stayed at St Regis in the past, it is the epitome of luxury. This hotel was a bit dated. Not a modern design you've come to expect and appreciate at the St Regis. Carpet fraying in the room. It just needs an overhaul.

Overall it's a great hotel. The staff is what gives it 4 stars for me.

We have already started to overhaul our guest rooms and suites last year, we have changed to new mattresses in regards of the bedding and we are currently in the process to renew the carpet floor by floor, more enhancements supposed to come in the next months.

Many thanks again for staying at The St. Regis Beijing. Thank you as well for being a loyal SPG member. We appreciate your loyalty and looking forward to welcome you back soon the next time you visit the Northern China region.

After trying to select an appropriate hotel, my agent I decided this one! Totally impressed with all level service & the staff really go out of their way to make you feel special.
The rooms are well appointed, well located & the gym & pool facilities are among the best!
Wouldn't hesitate returning to this one!

This is one of the top hotel in Beijing, its location is close to Beijing major attractions. My check-in was taken care by the concierge desk and in no time I was off to my upgraded room courtesy of my SPG gold status, truly appreciated there. I was quite impressive of the lobby design and its high ceiling, certainly living up to the St. Regis 5 Star reputation. My room is of decent size and mostly importantly the bed are very comfortable. The bath room is beautiful and elegant. The best is the hotel morning breakfast, it boast a broad selections of western and eastern dishes, needless to say you will be impressed by the varieties of food it serve there, table’s setup and atmosphere is excellent as well.

Due to my busy schedules, I didn't get to try other great amenities that St. Regis Beijing offers however I have to say the renowned St. Regis personal butler services of this hotel left a strong impression on my stay there. I would come back to this amazing hotel next time I’m in Beijing.
