“Gorgeous Beijing roast duck!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Lives up to its famous acclaims of the 'thinnest sliced roast-duck' in Beijing! It's served at the table and the chef manages to slice the ducks skin (v crispy) off completely separate to the meat itself! Impressive! Other dishes are very fancy in terms of presentation and edges towards Asian Fusion rather than traditional Peking cuisine. Very trendy ambience, however the service was a let down- standard Beijing attitude...

“Excellent beijing duck”

Very expensive. Nice decoration. High class restaurant. Very convenient for business lunches and dinners as it has a great number of private rooms.

“Tastful food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

The food was great, the pecking duck was served in a ceremonial way infront of you, tasted different kinds of dishes all were delicious, the problem was with the language they only had one english speaking waiter. I tried to order dessert but instead they brought me the bill we could not communicate as the english speaking waiter was off duty. Staff was afraid probably of the management and asked for my forgiveness and not to make any complaints!! I was not going to say anything!!! but this is how china works, they are all little soldiers working very hard

“Great peking duck experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

My husband and I ate at the restaurant on our honeymoon. The restaurant is located on the 5th floor of an upscale mall –the restaurant takes up the whole floor, with the duck-roasting pit near the entrance. Of course, we ordered the duck, but because we were full from a dumpling lunch, we actually only ordered ½ of a duck, which was a good portion for us. The duck comes with a bunch of neat accoutrements, including flat bread, dipping sauces, and soup, and then after the meal grapes and what we think was ice cream. We also got a side dish of eggplant. All in all, the experience was excellent, and, for American standards, very reasonably priced (I think we paid $40 all-in). We would definitely recommend this restaurant to any foreigners looking for a peking duck experience.

“Excellent... except the garlic tiramisu !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We went there following the recommendation of the concierge of our hotel (Park Plaza Wangfujing). The decoration of this restaurant is very modern and elegant. The bathrooms were really clean, which I seldon saw in China. The staff was very nice even if they spoke little english. We had the pekin roast duck and it was delicious. Just a little reminder for the cook though: it might some kind of chinese variation, but the taste of garlic in the tiramisu is a big no no.
