“The best accommodation at Beijing Airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

Was a excellent experience that I had during my short stay in Beijing, with a very fast check-in and nice room atmosphere. The hotel is just 5 minutes away from the airport by hotel shuttle, and the staff is perfect. Just try it you'll be satisfy.

Almost brand new, the hotel is in a mid-rise building and the rooms have really high ceilings. As diamond, we got an upgrade to a suite. Thanks! We only stayed for one night to catch a plane next morning. The location was perfect, very close to the airport and the shuttle ran very frequently. The breakfast buffet offered to elite guests was very lavish, much better than a typical Hilton in the U.S. On the other hand, the evening hors d'oeuvres in the executive lounge was limited, and not very good. It was very quiet though; only 2 or 3 other persons were there. It has a nice large indoor pool. Unfortunately it got a little crowded... As it turned out, the hotel offered gym memberships to local residents so they came to use the swimming pool in the evening. Finally this hotel is a bit overpriced for an airport Hilton. It is a category 4 requiring 40K points, but the rate was over $250. So it's a better value to use points.

We arrived off a domestic flight with a night to transfer to international. We checked in and there was no running water in the room - conveniently forgotten at check-in. Went into town for the evening and then came back (RMB 100 each way by taxi) and came into room, no turn-down service had been done, and when I came to draw the curtains they fell down on my head! I called the manager and 4-5 people came to the room but nothing could be done. I was offered a room move and a pointless upgrade to the executive lounge (we're leaving tomorrow), but settled for free breakfast and internet. I will NOT be coming back here. Lovely hardward, bad software

Room Tip: Stay in the city, not here

Yes! Great pool facility with a very decent 25m length - indoors (so no worries on Beijing outdoor air) and heated (key, esp during cold months). Gym is decent but not great. Only 4 treadmills and 1 cycling machine.

Other than that - room was top-notch 5-star quality.

Breakfast spread decent.

Staff were warm and friendly and all spoke English well (reception, restaurant, gym)

Only beef is wifi is not free.

Very disappointed with our stay. Hotel is like a beautiful car, nice on the outside but runs poorly. Do not recommend for Non-Chinese speaking guests. Waiter in coffee shop was terrible...in fact we walked out after trying to deal with him. Couldn't believe they charge for wireless...only hotel of the 8 we stayed at in China that did this...and I'm a Hilton's Honors member.

Room Tip: Don't have any tips.

Two night stay here with points and cash and found it to be a very good property. I was notified in advanced of a room upgrade to a king suite (diamond member) and an offer to make any arrangements if needed. On arrival I was taken immediately to the executive lounge where two very nice and helpful staff members checked me in and answered all my questions. I was given room 4002 which is a very nice 2 bathroom suite with large living area, nice bathroom with tub and perhaps the biggest king bed ever. Great room but it is on the other end of the hotel and it's a long ways to the EL. Housekeeping very prompt and replenished supplies as needed. The EL breakfast was of average quality for Asian properties and the evening cocktails were good. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and among the best I've encountered. The EL staff were so nice and welcoming with a genuine interest that your stay was great.

I also used the hotel to book a taxi to mutianyu to see the Great Wall. This service was 700rmb which probably could have been a bit cheaper by asking on my own but was worth it IMO.

I'd give this property a 9/10.

I stayed one night at the hotel in between flights. The hotel was displaying 5-star quality in everything; the service was, as typical in China, not very personal and friendly, but the staff was trying definately harder than other hotels in China where I have stayed. I had a club room, so it included access in the Club Lounge, which I utilized for light dinner and a breakfast. The food was great, and the service at the lounge very good.

The room was very clean and ultra-modern, actually identical to the official photos on this site. The amenities were good, and there were several TV channels in English available. There was no wireless LAN in the room, only in public areas and the Club Lounge, with access to e.g. Facebook which is typically blocked by the Great Firewall of China. I did not experiment with the wired connection.

The only complaint I have was the temperature in the room. As I arrived I set it to +23 Celsius to be warm. After returning from dinner the room felt still cold and I set the temperature to +27. In the morning I woke up to a still freezing cold room with a sore throat. Had I stayed longer, I would have complained, but now I was just in a hurry to catch my plane.

The price of one night stay costed much more than five previous night in a 4-star business hotel in the Shangdong region together. Maybe it would not have been worth it, except for the proximity to the airport (shuttle every 15 minutes, and even possibility to walk if you happen to know the right way).

Room Tip: I asked for a room on the runway side of the airport, as I like watching the planes. There was no bo...
