“Convinient Location - Average Rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

I stayed here for 18 nights in Jun - Jul 2014 for my office work.

The hotel is very conviniently located almost in the centre of the city. There are 2 metro stations at a 5 mins walking distance - Yong'anli (Line 1) and Guomao (Line 1 & 10).

The Famous Silk Street is also just 7 mins walk.

Tian'amen Square, Forbidden City & China National Meuseum are under 5 kms away.

The rooms are pretty old - carpet is worn out and the bathroom too needs an uplift.

The TV has only 2 english channels - both news channels

The buffet breakfast spread is monotonous - especially for veggies like me.

There is a very good Indian Resturant - Taj Pavillion - nearby - who also delivers to the hotel - This restaurant was my saviour !!

Overall a decent budget Hotel - in my opinion.

The in-room wi-fi / LAN and lobby wi-fi is very good and is for free - only problem - it has to be reconnected every time you come down from room to lobby.

Room Tip: I liked the location of my room on the 10th Floor - Road Facing - as the traffice sound doesn't...

I stayed at this hotel in Feb 2014. For 2 nights. My friend found the hotel for me and it had fair reviews, so I decided to stay there. A big mistake... I travel very frequently and this hotel was really disappointing. Yes, the location is good but apart from that, there is nothing good I can say about this hotel... The service was really poor. The staff at the front desk and also in the breakfast area were very rude. The whole hotel seemed out dated and dirty. Clearly we asked for a non smoking room but there was a room next to me who kept the door open the whole time and the person who was staying there with no shirt on was constantly smoking. Very disturbing. Also the first night we got there, it was hot and yet the AC didn't work. Later we found out that the AC in the entire hotel didn't work. The room got cooler after opening the windows but that brought the pollution in. The closet doors were falling apart. There was a dead cockroach on the floor right next to my bed. After that, what else can I say?
If you are heading to Beijing for a clean business hotel, this is not it. For the record, I had a friend staying in another room at the same visit and she also had a cockroach in her room. She was just happy that she kept the suitcase closed the whole time...
I would never go back there and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

It is an average hotel located at a very good location. Location is very close to the metro station and 20 minute metro ride to major tourist attractions.

Hotel is also located close to a very good Indian Restraunt

A busy, medium sized hotel, bustling with business people and airline staff (Aeroflot). Seemed efficient and organised. Rooms are basic and dated. In fact, everything is basic and dated! But that may be OK as it is reasonably priced, is in a good location (close to a Starbucks which leads to the Metro Station). If you are on a business or simply stopping over on your way somewhere else, then it is perfectly fine and does the job. I wouldn't stay here with my family as not a lot for them in the hotel - better for business.

The hotel was booked by my office on previous recommendations and I found it to be reasonably good for the price. The staff was courteous and helpful and had no problems during our stay. My colleague was not happy with the air conditioning in his room so they promptly changed his room. I had to extend my stay by two day and that was also smooth.
Rooms are nice and clean and the shower was also nice. Ample complimentary toiletries were available. The only thing I missed was my morning tea as there was no sugar or milk powder was available in the room.
Location being the business area, you don't see much activity in the evening and night. Silk street is walking distance so if one wants to enjoy bargaining, this is a good location.
Both check-in and check-out were smooth without any problems.
Overall, I liked the hotel and can go back there again...

Room Tip: Be very specific if you need a non smoking room

I stayed regularly over the past two years in Nikko Jinlung Hotel. The guest structure is mostly composed of Chinese guests, Japanese and Russians tourists. Aeroflot accommodates the crew in this hotel. The hotel is ideally placed near to the World Trade Centre.
Unfortunately since my first visit not much has improved, except the Wifi becomes reliable. The rooms are superficially clean. Apart of the dirty curtain in room #1118, the carpet had spots and the desk was badly scratched. The bathroom was clean, but it no longer corresponds to the current standard of a 4 star hotel. Some of the rooms need uplift.
Breakfast costs USD 20.-. The selection is vast, but lacks quality. The pastries are of heavy dough, the buns are chewy instead of crusty, the bacon taste sweetish and is either over- or undercooked. Missing breakfast items are barely or refilled late. Especially the bowls with fresh fruit are often empty. Coffee is at times lukewarm. Dirty crockery stays long on the tables. The Szechuan restaurant on the 4th floor is far from awesome.
The swimming pool of the Jinlung is situated in the basement. It is a bit dark, clean but I had hardly seen any guests there. Swimming is only allowed with a bath cap.
The World Trade Centre (WTC) is in five minutes walking distance. It offers a wide range of cheaper restaurants in the lower ground floor. Upscale restaurants are situated next to the ice skating rink. There is a Steakhouse, a Korean, a Thai and a Taiwanese restaurant which are all serving tasty food.
The location is ideal for visiting Beijing. Two subway stations are nearby. Bus # 1 leads to Tian’anmen Square. The stop before at Beijing Hotel is near to the entrance of Wangfujin, a popular pedestrian street. For those liking like night life; take Bus #120 opposite of the Silk Market which is 5 minutes walk and step off at Sanlintung or Workers Stadium. There are many restaurants. In the pubs at the bar street live music is played from 10.00 PM to the early morning hours. Bus tickets are available for RMB 1.- from the conductor.
The location of the hotel makes me stay there.

Room Tip: The rooms in the 12th floor are refurbished.

Stay here for 2 nights, many business traveler guests with well mannered, room is nice and clean, breakfast selection not much but good enough. Improvement is necessary for business center air-conditioner, Japanese staffs provide good services but some local staffs need to have more constant training to learn about services.

Room Tip: choose executive floor
