My wife and I stayed in this hotel during the summer month of July 10. The travelling time from Beijing Capital International Airport to the hotel is about 25 minutes by taxi and costs approximately RMB100. This property is situated close to Subway Line No. 4 between the two subway stations – Xizhimen Station & Xinjiekou Station. Between these two, the Xinjiekou station would be the nearer one, which is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Food wise, there are quite a number of eateries serving local delicacies at the hotel vicinity. We particularly enjoyed their local staple breakfast consisting of soya milk, dumplings and steamed buns. If you need to get basic necessities, no worries, as there are two 24-hour convenience stores nearby the hotel.
We stayed in a Deluxe Double Bed Room situated on the second floor, which is the only non-smoking level in the hotel. The room was clean and quite spacious to our expectations. It was also thoughtful of the hotel to deliver light snacks (Bread bun and milk) to our room every evening. The only two issues we had were the air-conditioning and the shower. The air-conditioner took several hours to actually cool the room, but it was forgivable, considering that it was the hot summer month and electricity usage might be at its peak, thus affecting the performance of the air conditioner. As for the water heater, we had some difficulties controlling the hot and cold water knobs and it was either too cold or too hot. It might take a couple of minutes to actually control these knobs to our right temperature. Despite these two minor issues, we were still happy with our stay at this hotel.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for value for money accommodation which is accessible to the city centre.
