As funny as it may be to say, Hua's was one of my favorite things about Beijing. I loved the hutongs and Great Wall, but was somewhat disappointed we picked a foggy day to go the wall. The Forbidden City and Tienanmen Square were overrun by hordes. But finding Hua's was the best! Everyone was very friendly, price was great, and the reviews are right, both foreigners and locals were here, so we didn't feel like we were being inauthentic in eating here. Great food (though we did order a couple of items of the "foreign friends' favorites), and great entertainment (music and food-related acts - noodle throwing, unicycle-riding while peeling a gourd, etc.) So great we went back the next night!
Also, great service; my mom must have looked cold, so one of the hostesses came over and offered her a shawl to keep wrapped around her during dinner.
