“Loved, loved, loved.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

There are so many wonderful things to say about this hotel, so I'll go in list format:

1. The bed was so soft, I literally melted into it! Slept beautifully.
2. The toilet had a Toto washlet from Japan, replete with heated seat. A highlight.
3. The bathtub was extremely spacious and allowed for a romantic candlelit bath.
4. The water pressure in the shower was marvelous, and the rain shower placed high enough overhead to accommodate any height.
5. The pool area had two different jacuzzis, and the steam/sauna area was well-lit, clean and well-appointed. The soap/shampoo provided smelled so good!
6. Service at the hotel was excellent. They offered several options for comfort, and spoke excellent English.
7. A screen to block out the sun was available on the window, ensuring a dark sleeping space. Brilliant.

Highly recommended.

I stayed at the hotel earlier this week towering 65 floors about Beijing. It is very modern but the rooms are awesome: particular features were the very quiet and comfortable sleeping area, the fully automatic toilet with advanced, automatic cleansing and an amazing bath alongside the drench shower. My only regret is that I was visiting on business, on my own so many of these features got limited use.

The sky bar is enjoyable and has a very good view

Restaurants are good in my view but not spectacular. I thought the breakfast buffet was a little unimaginative - bench-marking against for example Shangri La's Cafe Too.

But overall, I very pleasant stay

A warning however must be placed on the pollution which was terrible with emergency measures implemented by the Government. The hotel has very good cleansing and neutralizing equipment but at certain times of year, the high pressure creates a smog which is seriously unpleasant at the least. Not a direct issue for the hotel but it will affect visitors and the length of their stay.

A traveller's tip for Beijing if you've not been there before is to research where your meetings are. The business district is not the same as the financial district and yo-yoing painful in bad traffic

I recently spent a week at the PH Beijing. The location is excellent, right in the business district but also very close to main attraction. You can even walk to the Pearl Market. The hotel is on top of a building so the views are phenomenal (when there's no smog). As soon as you get to the lobby which is on the 61st floor you feel like you're in a sophisticated oasis. PH did a great job with the design of the public spaces. As a Hyatt Diamond member I got upgraded to a Park Suite which is very nice. There was a bottle of Bordeaux as well as a fruit platter which was being replaced every day. Aside from the view I would say that the bathroom was the highlight of my stay at the PH. The stone tub is impressive, there's also a tv in the bathroom. The bathroom amenities are of good quality, from Le Labo. Service was excellent, many staff members remember you by your name. The breakfast served on the top floor was of high quality and the view was spectacular. I will be back!

Room Tip: All rooms have a view.

I was tossing up between this and its Beijing sister property the Grand Hyatt, but thought, what other opportunity would I have to stay 60 plus stories in the air?

In the "business district" of this vast city, this hotel is worth it for the views alone. The lobby is on the 63rd floor and my room was on the 46th. the flow of the elevators in this hotel does cause initial confusion, as there are two lifts to take - one to lobby then another to your room. But that is gone once you experience the rooms and the service.

the "experience" starts if you choose to take the hotel limo from the airport. I was met off my flights, escorted through immigration to the waiting BMW. This experience had a "James Bond" quality given the BMW is parked in a seemingly underground carpark and you are then "spirited away" to the hotel. Worth the cost!

My room was large by European standards and had a great view over the CCTV building and China World Center. Unlike most hotels, the bathroom is located as you enter the room, so the vanity in the middle and the huge walk in shower and amazing bathtub features of the room itself. the walk in wardrobe is also a great plus. Not only was the room design cool - it was functional.

The large room also included a work area and huge bed with Hyatt's signature pillows but it was the small touches that made it great. This included the plush stretchy bathrobe (loved it so much I bought my own) and a personal tea set (in addition to the Nespresso machine which was stylishly hidden in the minibar space) TV channels included a good selection of English channels which is a must for me

An issue with my leaking monsoon shower head was dealt with well by staff and I was even offered a room change if I wanted it. I decided against it as loved the location of the room. I was even sent a box of chocolates by the housekeeping supervisor which was very sweet.

Breakfast is served at the great China Grill on 65th floor, which has wraparound views of the city. Be warned although small, this hotel gets busy. Breakfast is peak time so sometimes service can be patchy but the food and views more than makes up for that. I had dinner there one night and the food was excellent and authentic. the bar upstairs was also buzzing and most nights there was a live band singing jazz standards.

You couldn't leave this hotel without trying the swimming pool on level 59 with floor to ceiling views over the city. the spa also has a range of traditional treatments and i sampled the cupping therapy and reflexology. The actual treatments are done on another level as the treatment rooms are being upgraded.

The hotel is around 15 mins from tourist attractions, give or take Beijing's mercurial traffic. There is a luxury mall attached to the hotel and the China World mall is available through a subway between the two buildings.

A quick note about the door staff and concierge. A taxi driver tried to triple overcharge me on a fare which I knew he was doing. The hotel's door staff helpfully intervened and negotiated a settlement which i was grateful for. Also Benny, their famed head concierge was truly amazing. He helped sort an schedule for my tourist visits, found a driver for my great wall adventure and also sourced restaurants and locations for me. He was ably assisted by Dyson. Benny and his team are a true gift to this hotel.

Room Tip: Every room has a view so would be hard to choose the best!

I stayed at this place during a business trip last week the place is modern and the service is out standing, I was made to feel welcome and the service at all the hotel facilities was out standing, if the sales department would actually contact me I would probably stay there on all my visits, if you stay at this hotel make sure to visit the restaurant on the 66th floor if not for the great food the view is a Amazing

I have stayed here a few times on business. It is a great place to rest for a few days. Beds are great, food is great and the modern feel is awesome. It has a well appointed gym and spa. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Good Business hotel in Beijing. Rooms are huge compare to North American standard. All rooms are mostly on 40+ floor so you get a good view of city, only if pollution is low if you are lucky !!! The rain shower is amazing. Only thing I did not like about the hotel is, elevator flow. First you need to go to 56th floor to main lobby and then you need to change the elevator to go down to your room. I was attending a conference in hotel and just imagine 100+ people using elevators to go to their rooms at once !!! They don't have even access to room floor from conference room as well. Also, food quality was not that great either. Location is good, close to Subway and walking to Silk Market, if you are interested. Overall, it is good place.
