Returned to the Park Hyatt Beijing after not having visited for 2 years. No regrets. Absolutely wonderful. Not disappointed. Perfect business hotel. Shall I continue? The rooms are sleek and civilised and after a long flight, I longed for something simple, yet elegant. The spare use of colour is contrasted by the subtle interplay of materials: large, rough granite baths, dark ebony, sleek ivory, plush bathrobes - yum. Large windows in my room overlook snarls of busy highways spanning the broad, bustling city. The Park Hyatt keeps its calm distance by placing the rooms and restaurants high above it all; the breakfast and dining areas have lovely views into the ever-clouded Beijing horizon.

I went for business but made a few quick visits to galleries and museums, with the assistance of the trusty concierge women. For those on the go, hotel staff are very attentive to even the most discriminating of guests (this writer included). Shopping at the Soho mall across the street is fun for those who can try to tell real Prada from fake Prada (I cant, and I have a closet full of the real stuff). If you dont speak Chinese however, you may never learn the final prices. For authentic luxury shopping, stay in the hotel. There are floors of the best international designer names for anyone who forgot a birthday or special occasion while traveling - or a gift to say "I missed you."

Great view of the Beijing city. Lobby on 63/F. You can see the chaotic traffic from 6am. Excellent service. Very nice breakfast. Shopping malls below the building. Not easy to get a taxi but it's a common problem in Beijing.

Stayed here over 10 times on business. Good business hotel with great facilities. Food is a little bit off - trying too hard to be upscale but not quite pulling it off. The a/c blows right at the desk so it's difficult to work at the desk without being col, but the room would get too uncomfortable if you turn it off. Overall, quite good but nothing to write home about, but probably better than any od the other options in Beijing, which are not that great (ive tried Grand Hyatt, China World, St Regis, Westin Chaoyang, Ritz Carlton Financial Street, Intercon Financial Street and JW Marriott) . The elevators from the lobby to the ground floor is very slow.

Stayed here for 3 nights in August 2012 inbetween business and did some sightseeing. We used hotel transfer from the airport and was greeted by an immaculately dressed chaffeur complete with hat and well presented sign.

The hotel lobby is located on a very high floor which makes for great views both from the public areas and rooms. The room was well laid out, very comfortable bed and bedding, well sized walk-in shower and a Japanese bath (square tub) which I personally do not care for. Plenty of counter space, lots of closet space and great views over the CBD area.

We made use of the Concierge in arranging a tour to the Great Wall of China which turned out to be a fantastic day of exploration.

Ate one evening in the China Grill, a highly acclaimed Beijing restaurant, which served superb cuisine.

Overall this is a great city location, a high quality Hyatt property and all the staff we encountered were very efficient, polite and friendly.
