Without a doubt. It's difficult to add any comments that have not been mentioned in previous reviews, so here's a few generalizations to consider. Did the manager/staff go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible - absolutely. Were the accommodations comfortable? As much as one can expect considering you are in a tent (with real beds) in the conservancy. The separate bathroom/ shower are well done. Expect animals to wander through the camp at night (which we found great). Ever not feel safe or comfortable? Never. Did the location in the conservancy matter? Yes. Originally, I thought it might be mostly a marketing tool, but it really did make all the difference. At times, when outside the conservancy in the national park viewing wildebeest crossings, it was like a stock car race with all the tourists scrambling for optimal viewing positions. Compare that to the viewing in the conservancy, where you might be the only car an arm's length away from a lion kill, or a leopard relaxing in a tree, or a group of hippos waddling on shore - the nature viewing is the reason you come all this way. Were the guides knowledgable? Yes, and they made every effort to find as many of the sights you come to the Mara to see. They did go the extra mile to be friendly, informative, and make your game drives a memorable experience. The Porini guides are in touch with each other by radio, so if one car spots a particularly compelling sight, you will be sure to also see it. Communal dining? Yes, and we found it very enjoyable. Exchanging stories and pleasant conversations over a nice meal and a few Tuskers is a great way to end the day. Meals were mostly fine, with only an occasional miss, though the soups were always excellent. Was getting to camp well arranged? Julie at Gamewatchers was very helpful and booked our trip to three porini camps. The plane rides and connections to the camps were seamless, though the hotel we stayed in Nairobi was a bit of a disappointment. Family reaction on the plane ride home? Best vacation ever.
