As per other reviews, you cannot beat the location of this camp.....nor the quality of the hosts. This was my second time in Masai Mara (Intrepid last time) and it did not disappoint. Ken and Michelle were the most gracious hosts - there when you might need something and not when you wanted a break....actually that was all staff, they were there, but not hovering. The camp is on a river and we spent hours sitting in deck chairs watching the antics of the 27 or so hippos, either in the water or on the beach. Nothing better than a G&T in hand watching hippos! Our guide, Jackson was amazing who made us all laugh and found us so many cheetahs we said enough! The camp itself was more rustic than we expected but we wanted for nothing. We were all surprised at the bucket shower - but agreed, it was fantastic! The camp is not fenced so the first night was a little unsettled until we got used to the noises of the wildlife right outside the tent! The food was TO DIE FOR. the best lasagne i have ever had and the most amazing curry....and of course, the simple pork chop...sounds like a boring meal, but oh so tasty. The food really was a highlight....even the bush breakfast. An amazing trip with friends at a wonderful camp.
