This place is amazing, and worth every cent. Your every need and whim is catered for. The staff are above fabulous - wake up calls are a knock on your door with coffee/tea, the fire is lit when you get back at night, hot water bottles in your bed. We bought some meat at a local market, and the chef cooked it for us - no problem.
Our guide was nothing short of amazing. He spotted a leopard from 500m away, up a tree, that we struggled to see from 100m away, and a couple of lions under a tree about 1km away. When I asked how he saw that - "the outline of the bush looked different".Uh huh...I don't think I know the outline of my backyard, let alone a huge national park. We saw lions mating, a pride of 24 lions walk straight past our jeep (you could reach & pat them), heards of elephants so close you touch them, lions with their kill, cheaters hunting for their kill. Instead of a morning & night safari, we had all-da safaris - nothing was too much trouble. As soon as we were picked up, we went straight on a game drive.
And the accommodation is fantastic - the pictures on their website show it all. The lodge is in a private conservatory, so you don't have a million safari jeeps everywhere.
I couldn't fault a single thing, and am already planning to go back. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
