“Right inside the Masai Mara Reserve”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

A great place right inside the Masai Mara reserve. Good hospitality and India tourist friendly. The tents are comfortable. In some months it might get cold but it is enjoyable. The right option if you are going to Masai Mara. The prices are all inclusive as there are no other places to eat in the middle of the grassland and hence sometimes the food feels boring. Make it a point to stay closer to the restaurant area if you have kids and senior citizens with you. Overall an awesome experience.

Room Tip: Choose a room closer to the lake and the restaurant.

I pined over the decision to either go budget or upscale for my safari at the end of a 6 week backpacking trip though East Africa. I paid extra for the upgrade and I was not disappointed. I stayed here for two nights and for one at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in Lake Nakuru and I am now a huge fan of the brand. I mention both locations here to highlight how consistent my experience was. The "tent" is one of the most romantic places my wife and I have ever stayed at and the buffet meals were much better than we expected. It would be difficult to go with with this company and leave disappointed. I'll also add that the the staff at Sarova is some of the most well trained and professional I've seen anywhere.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your wonderful comments you have posted on our tripadvisor page. I note that your showers did not have water during your stay and I would like to say this is not our usual standards. I have already picked this up with my team and we will make sure that on your return to our lodge, you will have plenty of hot water in the shower.
Welcome back to the Mara and to Sarova Mara!

The setting itself of this camp is amazing, serene, tranquil and once you are there a sense of Adventure overcomes you. During our stay we were treated to mouth watering buffets, Live guitar music and not to forget the unique 'Bush' Lunch. The staff were very friendly and the Accommodations were perfect. Thank you Sarova Mara Game Camp.

Wonderful camp, lovely tents very comfortable. We considered ourselves to have had the best guide in Anthony who found all the game we wanted to see and much much more. Other staff of note are Simon in the bar, Rhoda in the restaurant and John our attendant all made our Stay memorable. We had breakfast twice watching game on the Mara, organised by Anthony, this is something you need to do.

One very small point, please get some sharper knives to cut the lovely meet you cook.

Rob and Linda

Room Tip: Club tents are brilliant, although quite far from the main building this is good and bad.
