We stayed in tent 20 during our recent safari in Masai Mara. The Intrepids camp was quite
nice. It is about a quarter mile from the airstrip, and located directly on one of the small
rivers feeding into the Mara, complete with a suspension bridge. The tents are quite large,
and equipped with running water, showers, and toilets. The electicity is provided by generator,
and goes off in the mid-afternoon when most guests on on game drives, and again late at night.
Similarly, hot water is only available at ceretain hours, but you can arrange with the front desk
to have it turned on at any time you like. The pool and bar area are very nice, as is the open
air dining area. Meals were very good, with buffets for breakfast and lunch, and menu service
for dinner. The game drives from the camp were excellent, and we spotted 4 of the Big 5 here
This is a very good permanent tented camp, and well worth visiting. We would do it again.
