“What a wonderful holiday experience-Perfect in everyway............”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

This was an unbelievable place, from the first minutes of arrival we knew we were somewhere extra special. Brendan and Val-the camp hosts are two very special people and so lovely with all their guests. The tents are amazing in everyway, all the staff were so friendly, the service was first class and the food was all so delicious. Out on Safari trips from the camp, these were very special including the Breakfast & Lunch Picnics which added to the whole magical experience. The attention to every detail were first class in everyway. We will always treasure very happy memories of are stay at Kicheche Valley Camp

Mum had always wanted to do a safari and booked this as a family holiday and all of us absolutely loved it. Everything about it was great and Brendan and Val were very welcoming hosts and we were spoiled with hot water bottles at night and woken up with tea, coffee and hot chocolate in bed in the mornings which made all the difference at 6am. The food was delicious, the service outstanding and the campsite very peaceful and in a beautiful location. Never written a review on trip advisor before but we were so impressed that I promised my parents I would! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I stayed at the camp with my partner, our 21 year old daughter and our 12 year old son. As I booked the holiday as a suprise for the others I was a little nervous on what to expect....... We all could not have had a more perfect experience, the food (amazing), camp (beautiful), staff (lovely), location was unbelievable. The view was breath taking and I could not beleive the giraffe and elephants I could see as soon as I walked into camp! Val & Brendan were the perfect hosts along with all the other lovely, friendly staff that help made our stay a truely magical experience.
Jonathan our guide was the icing on the cake with his witty personality and knowledge of the land and surroundings, we saw everything and more on our tick list, on the conservancy and when we visited the main Masai Park. Many fond memories of early mornings drives and sundowners.
We all loved the experience and will return without a doubt but next time for longer than 3 days.

Many thanks to all the staff at Kicheche Valley

Kikicheche Valley Camp was one of our favorite stops on a 2-week long safari honeymoon. In fact, it's become one of our favorite places in the world. What makes it so exquisite is the careful attention to detail and warm hospitality. The food was some of the best we've eaten anywhere in the world (including NYC's best formal dining and ethnic restaurants) and was plentiful and diverse. Even the bush picnic breakfasts and lunches were delicious and offered lots of variety for the pickiest eaters (myself). The drinks, including our wake-up call morning coffee and sundowner cocktails in the bush were always very well made and on the ready. All the staff are on the ready and seem to preempt your desires, appearing to offer a drink just as you realize you might be a little thirsty. As honeymooners, we enjoyed a private bush dinner in front of a campfire with 2 people on staff to accommodate us, which was a highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed sharing meals with other guests around the large dining table. We loved the Eco-efforts of the camp and found it to be very comfortable and even luxurious despite being settled in the middle of the bush. The location was another highlight, as its nestled in a valley of a private conservancy area. The view is top notch and the animals are plentiful. From our tent we saw zebras, giraffes and gazelles roaming daily, often within 30 feet. Game drives from the camp were some of the best we had during out entire trip and our guide, Jonathan, was incredibly knowledgable and a pleasure to be around (which is so important given the number of hours per day spent with your guide). The managers, staff and guides told us wonderful stories about the animals, the local culture and the Masai warriors, which absolutely enhanced our stay and was hard to find elsewhere during out trip. The land cruisers used for game drives are very nice-- equipped with outlets for charging devices and ponchos if it gets chilly. Overall, hospitality is superior and the place runs like a very well oiled machine. Everyone involved, from the lovely camp managers (Brendan and Val) to the servers and guides, seem to sincerely care about the camp, the work they do and all the guests. Most importantly-- they seem to enjoy themselves and their work at all times, which enhances your stay tremendously. This place is the real deal, the enchanting African safari experience we were looking for and certainly a place we highly recommend and hope to return to.

Room Tip: The tents are more like comfortable fabric houses-- they all have great views and privacy, and are e...

A very comfortable and very modern place to stay. All tents were very well fitted out and extremely comfortable. The food was unbelievably good. Brendan and Val were very good hosts keeping the whole camp and atmosphere very friendly. Wildlife viewing was very good with lots close to the camp - a cheetah was eating a recent kill of an impala as we left for the airstrip at the end of our holiday! Earlier that day, we'd be within 10 yards of 8 lions between 1 and 2 years old and 2 lionesses. Meka was an awesome guide.

We choose Kicheche Valley CAmp after looking up many camps for our Honeymoon. We were taken back by how amazing this camp was!....

We stayed for three nights and the atmosphere within the camp was so relaxed and the hosts make Val and Brenden make you feel right at home from the first minute!

The game drives were amazing andf we saw so much exciting stuff - lions mateing was probably the highlight! Our guide Francis was so knowledgable and a lovely person that always had some information on everything that we saw!

We were in the jeep with only two other people (who were lovely) so it was very personal experience and we loved the bush breakfast and Lunch's....great experiences!

We woudl recommend this camp to anyone that is travelling to the Mara for a safari - it was fantastic! Thank you Val, Brendan and Francis for memories that will last a lifetime!

Jt safaris booked us into Kicheche Valley after we had been gazumped from another mara camp and I have to say that the tents are fantastic as well as the food and hosts Brandon and Val. The wildlife in the area is not as varied as the central mara but all in all a great camp and we'll worth a visit. Thanks to Johnson our guide who tried his heart out to find us the elusive leopard, but it just was not to be seen. However, the cheetah and it's impala kill more than made up for it. A big thank you again, Ken,Lynn, and Katie

Room Tip: All very good
