We stayed in Jumbo 2. The bed was comfy - there is a net around the bed, but it opened by the posts - we did our best to overlap it. Didn't see any mosquitoes while we were there, so it wasn't a problem. The bathrooms are luxurious - lots of hot water - solar heated. There's no view from the porch or really anywhere on the grounds. A Masaii village is quite nearby and you can hear them early in the morning when they let their cattle out. There are no kettles to boil water, so we had to treat ours with chlorine. The buffet was delicious, good service, but only instant coffee. The desserts were a little disappointing.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Masai people or just wonderful in everyday. Food was good and facilities clean and well presented. Small pool but then you are not really there to lounge around and swim, you are there for the safari and cultural experience. Tents spacious and clean. Didn't have a mossy net so would advise bringing your own, but didn't really need one anyway to be honest. Overall, a fantastic few days.

Well, not really rocks, but we spent four nights in this delightful tent camp in the Masai Mara Reserve. Absolutely delightful staff, good food, and quiet! Just the sound of birds and a few monkeys. Ontdek Travel (don't be afraid to wire money -- it's easy) made all the arrangements and we had a superb guide that showed us everything we wanted to see and a bit more. Kenya is a wonderful country and well worth a visit.

While located outside the park, Mara Leisure was our favorite place that we stayed during our three week safari to Kenya and Tanzania!

The rooms were very nice and very clean and the bathroom was very large! (Note that power is turned off at night (I think around 10 pm but don't remember for sure) until around 6 am in the morning.)

The food was great as well. Most of the meals were buffet style, but great tasting! We were very pleased with the food.

There is internet, however, there is just one computer and it is very slow. I believe the rate is 10 Kshs per minute.

But what made the place so great was the staff! They were by far some of the best staff we have ever had! The ladies at reception were very helpful and friendly. The staff at the restaurant and bar were top quality as well! I definitely recommend Mara Leisure.

Our experience with Mara Leisure (arranged by John Ndegwa of Aramati Safaris) could not have been better. We were transported by private car to and from our hotel in Nairobi and flown to the Mara by Kenya Airways. Our guide ( Don ) was a very competent and friendly Maasai man and showed us the " Big Five " as well as most all of the animals in the Mara. The accomodations were 5 star and the staff was personal, friendly and very flexible to our personal needs and desires. We have been to the Mara before but this has been our best experience. The gourmet meals were served by friendly, capable and engaging waiters who made each meal a treat.

We booked our stay through DM tours Diani and I must say
We were pleasantly suprised on arrival, William our Maasai driver guide was at the Ol kiombo airstrip to pick us on arrival.
We arrived to a great reception with song and dance from the Maasai worriors,, UNBELIEVABLE! Our Jumbo tent honeymoon suite was spacious and ensuite with a bathtab and shower.
Three main meals are served, unlike other lodges where the programme is so fixed, they played our safari by the ear and improvised to suite our schedule, delicious picnic lunches were prepaired to take with us to the bush, hence avoiding having to drive back.. in the evening they lit a bonfire by the river for us to enjoy our brandy while gazing at the ubelievable african sky... the meals, there is also a bar, though small in size, the restaurant needs to be moved to an open mess tent.... otherwise our game drives were designed to suit our pace... I am told they equally are happy to accept guests that would like to bring their own vehicle.
