Best trip to Africa ever...and this was our tenth visit. Mara West is a fantastic coombination of old style luxury safari and values driven service.

We visited Mara West the first time in 2007 and stayed in the tents. It was wonderful, then in 2008 we returned with 3 of our grandchildren and stayed in the rooms. They were beautiful. Every morning the sun would rise over the Mara and we could see the hot air balloon and hear the animals. A trip never forgotten.

If you're gonna do a safari, Mara West is the place! The lodging is comfortable and tasty food made by their on site chef. The staff were so friendly and accomodating! Our group was hopeful to find all the animals in the Big 5, and thanks to our safari guide, Stephen, we did it! We even saw the elusive Leopard, that many don't see. We were lucky! Once again, if you want that "once-in-a-lifetime" safari adventure on the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya, Mara West won't disappoint!

Mara West has a great location. The view is amazing and often wild animals roam through camp. Once we saw giraffes walking right across the road. The living quarters are more than adequate with comfortable beds, reliable power and good maid services. The showers have that open feel and have a reliable supply of hot water. The kitchen is amazing. They can serve a variety of styles of food and if you are looking for something they will do their best to acquire it. Everything is very convenient with a visiting market, a laundry service, gift shops, beverages, etc. They really help you relax and take your mind off the small details so you can truly enjoy the beauty of Kenya
