My girlfriend and I took a boat from Lamu and decided to have lunch at Majilis. After just a few minutes, we had decided to extend our vacation just so we could stay.
We eventually stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every second of it. The rooms are very tasteful, comfortable and well serviced. The food was incredible and was awash with seafood, tender meats and fresh salads.
Frank was a really great guy and took us out for a mountainbike ride two days in a row. The second day we rode to the Tawka ruins which was an abandoned city built before Shaila and Lamu.
We are so glad we made the extra effort to stay in Kenya longer just to stay at Majilis.
