The first day of our trip we stayed in Nairobi. There are pricier places, and lesser priced, but for what you get, we were very pleased. You must think of security when traveling, and we felt very secure here. The entrance was gated, and the front door also required a key, as well as your room, of course.
The rooms are small but clean, with hot showers and bottled water to brush with. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruits and juices (passion fruit was delightful!), cereals, cheeses, and eggs cooked to order in a bright upstairs room.
For dinner I highly recommend the restaurants of it's sister property, the Fairview, just a few steps around the corner. I hear they are the best in town. We enjoyed the pasta, and the desserts were heavenly. Another day we sat in the garden, by the waterfalls and amazing flora. There we enjoyed sandwiches and salads.
I highly recommend this hotel with attentive staff and skandinavian decor. You must also go on safari right outside the city.
