“Excellent hotel for stop over on the way to safari”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

Location: The location seemed to be okay, however it was near government offices and a prison was down the road I believe. Because of this security was very tight and you always felt safe and taken cafe of. You were always checked up on to make sure everything was alright.

Breakfast: There was a lot of fruit to choose from, omelet options, cereal, yogurt, bacon, and many choices to start the day off well. This was the only meal included in the price of the hotel but you could always walk to the other hotels nearby for lunch/dinner which were very close and security was tight there also.

Rooms: Our room was clean, rubbish emptied every day, beds made, and was kept clean without any problems. There was a reliable safe and the room temperature was comfortable. We did use the fan on the ceiling often and that cooled us down if we were too hot.

There was reliable and reasonable internet and the hotel staff was very helpful in setting up a taxi service for us for the day to get to various attractions we wanted to do, and they were always looking out for us to help us however they can.

Room Tip: The hotel seemed to be quiet no matter what room you have in there.

Given the price, the hotel was mediocre. Rooms were OK, but lacked ventilation. They were hot. It was also noisy. We did like the breakfast with lots of options and plenty of fresh fruit. No dinner options so you must taxi to another location.

We could not recommend this highly enough. Very clean, great service, safe and totally reliable. If you are feeling extravagant you can eat superbly at the next door Fairview Hotel. We stayed twice a week apart and they looked after our luggage in our absence.

Security in and around the hotel is excellent, the front dest team always ready to help with a smile, the room is always clean with possibility of tea or cofee, the Internet is reliable and fast, shower with hot water, more importantly breakfast with a lot to chose. I spent two weeks as a biz traveller and it was a pleasure all the way. Keep it up and I hope to be back very soon.

Room Tip: Room 627 the best since you have a view of the balcony and over looking the parking( Can see if the...

Very clean, modern and spacious rooms. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included with choices such as eggs, toast, yogurt, juice. Very safe with 2 gated doors outdoors and 2 secure doors to get to your room. 24 hour security.

Traveling to Kenya for business, best option will be the very safe country lodge located in the center...excellent services all round...the restaurants are excellent...
Often we invite guests, partners, potential customer to the hotel for a coffee, lunch or dinner...and they always show up!
Sight price increase recently but do not be surprised if it is fully booked!
Fairview hotel is the sister hotel...they outperform the top brands !!

Room Tip: Where else but country lodge when in NBO?

The hotel is a brother of the much bigger and richer Fairview Hotel. It is actually attached to it.
The location is one of the safest in Nairobi - close to the Israeli Embassy and very quiet also. Actually the scenery resembles more of a countryside rather than city center. However they are just 10 minutes by card from Nairobi City Center.

The hotel does not have any luxury touch but it covers sufficently all basic needs a business traveller wants. The Gym though is even better than most gyms in Nairobi.

Breakfast also is simple but honest. Rooms are clean, medium size without many things but ok.

There are no restaurants in the Hotel but ypu can cover all your eating needs at the attached Fairview.

The hotel comes with probably the best prices in Nairobi, comparing with the services and as a result it is ideal for short visits and mostly for business travellers.

If you want something more you can try the Fairview, which is also good value for money.
