We drove through here one afternoon, gets you out of the chaos of the city in a short time. definitely worth it - gorgeous views!
Its a nice place, especially when you get a view of the Rift Valley. The scenary changes a lot if you go there in dry season or just after rains. Its beautiful anyhow but not much to do except hiking.
Ngong hills is a nice place for adventure picnics and family day out..located in the outskirts of Nairobi.....
There are 4 major hills, one after another. You can go to the third one, but if you would like to go on the 4th one, you better hire "Askali = Security<Armed>" for your own safety. It is fun to climb all the hills, however you need to hire the car which take you there! The view is great, you can see Nairobi down town the other side and great lift valley on the other.
But the hill is a bit scattered by fellow Kenyan's trash! They are hardly take own trash with them when they do a picnic!
The location is off town and the food not so good. Traffic on the Ngong Road can be unnerving.
