What a shame that such a beautiful, naturalistically rich & landscaped museum of trees, interwinding paths and open lawns hasn't been at least looked after as was intended by their creators. There are so few parks in Nairobi that Arboretum deserves alot more from the long list of apparent sponsors 'proudly' displayed at the entrance - I hope that they look after their various hotels, multi-national companies etc a little better than this - it's quite shameful. The beautiful stream or river has even been complemented with the construction of illegal concrete walls up to it's edges and no competent ente appears to be enforcing the law. However, should you want an apartment or perhaps a house the market is completely that you haven't a safe, clean park to take your children to play and enjoy the clement Nairobi weather. I hope this is not the shape of things to come...?!
