“Fabulous experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Private tour driver took us to the Giraffe Centre. Did not directly pay at the Centre but through the driver/guide so it was not transparent how much it really is to enter into the Centre.
Initially we did not see any giraffes but they gradually responded to the noise that some of the staff were making to get giraffes' attention.
Eventually we were feeding food directly into giraffes' mouth. This was just an amazing memorable experience. The staff there were extremely kind.

“Not very exciting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

I did get a kick out of hand feeding and ( gently) touching a giraffe. The education centre is a bit hokey - a few bones and lots of children's drawings. The nature walk is a fairly short walk in the forest with the highlight being looking at a warthogs's den.

“Great experience and educational”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

This was a really fun adventure. You are able to climb the stairs to a treehouse like structure and the giraffes then can come to you. Your head is on the same level as the giraffe and they are very gentle often nuzzling you while you give them treats! Interesting to learn about the three different types of giraffe that live in Kenya and Tanzania.
