“Great Building litle soul”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

This Grand European Colonial Style Hotel standing next to a good looking Golf club with a small but nice pool located away from the city centre and any sign of the Poverty and slums that exist in Nairobi. It is very grand the staff are excellent polite, helpful and friendly. The down side except for the weekend it was very empty and rather soulless. I suppose most people are on Holiday getting married or at conferences. I was on Business and it just lacked something. The Tusker was good if a bit pricey

Room Tip: I suspect the ones on the Pool side are more popular as they may be a bit livelier, mine was next to...

A comfortable hotel with nice nature surroundings, suitable for walks. We don´t play golf ourselves, but we enjoyed anyhow. For us 3 nights was enough, as it is far away from the city, though very relaxing with a pool and a couple of restaurants with tasty food. Because of a big wedding we were invited to, we stayed there for a very good price, so that influenced of course our well-being.

This place is on the outskirts of Nairobi and makes and excellent location to recover from your flight out to Kenya before you start exploring. I stayed here in December after flying in from the USA. My final destination was about 4 hours drive from Nairobi, and while I could make it in a day, stopping at Windsor made the journey much more relaxing. The golf course is excellent, as good as any championship course I have played in USA or UK. The food was great, and the pool was a welcomed distraction for the kids.

Not the 5 star experience paid for. Not the service you would expect from somewhere charging $600 per night for a cottage. No mosquito nets in rooms but plenty of mosquitoes. Took 30 minutes of full open taps to get hot water. Very basic faults.

Good hotel, nice rooms, very professional managed, excellent cuisine, very friendly service and a great golf course, can recommend! The BBQ could be better with more variety. May be too many children on the weekend at the pool, but overall a treat.

This is a great hotel if you want one of more of the following: golf, quiet secluded getaway, conference facilities. The rooms are really nice, and perfectly quiet. I've stayed here once and done many meetings and conferences here, and from my perspective they have always been organized well by the staff. The food is great, and the facilities are also very good. It's tucked away out of the main part of Nairobi, so not recommended if you are a traveler looking to be in the centre of town

Stayed for 3 three weeks in Oct 2012 and the biggest let down was the service which is very mediocre at best. Service staff don't have any passion or motivation whatsoever to delight. Every single meal ordered was delivered in, at the very least, double the time promised from simple fried eggs at breakfast to pork chops at dinner. Lighting in the rooms is extremely dim and could do with a major lighting upgrade with options to dim as required. Strained my eyes too much while working in the room. Shower curtains are not wide enough to prevent water spillage over the rest of the bathroom. Meals are very good and the golf course is excellent with great scenery and very well maintained. Great property but the disappointing service makes one forget the beauty of the place.

Room Tip: The suites on the top floor of each block are much more spacious than standard Rooms
