“Very nice ambience, service, place has a lot of potential”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend. Though getting there is tricky especially when using the Waiyaki Way by pass still under construction, all that was forgotten once past the gates.
We were received well. We were served by knowledgable wait staff. Was very impressed that they serve Voss water!
The starters, presented beautifully and the wait staff even gave us pointers on what to chose.we settled for the mushroom croquettes and empanadas Gallega with meat and pepper which we enjoyed.
The paella de marisco was also good. The sirloin steak nice. They probably need to work on their seasoning because we had to add to the meal.
The restaurant has a lot of potential, they should just work at improving on everything day by day. We will return and hopefully get some changes

“Great idea... but hit and miss...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

How exciting to have a Spanish Restaurant in Nairobi!
The location is real nice and atmosphere good... but still after a few visits a big hit and miss... food is average, service poor... Lots of waiters around but there does not seem to be anyone truly experienced... The first couple of times we went with friends they used to serve a complimentary lovely tiny sip of gazpacho soup... now instead a piece of white bread with some mayo and other on top, not as good and appealing as the soup used to be...

Menu printed with corrections, the luck of some of the wines on wine list that we requested (third time it happens) makes it a bit of a frustrating experience... With a bit of TLC and more professionalism it could be a great new place in Nairobi, but it seems to still be far from that... sadly...

“Nairobi's first Spanish restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

We went here during the week with some friends, the service was a little slow and the waiters were learning about the food still but they did try hard and if they were not sure they went and checked with the kitchen. The wine list was good with some nice Spanish selections. We had some tapas dishes to start with, the Spanish omelette was excellent as was the Gazpacho soup. One of us had the lentils with chorizo which was really rustic and flavorsome. For the main course two of us had the Paella which was very good and one of us had the grilled prawns which were a little over cooked and finally the grilled sepia which was good. The owner came and checked everything was ok and gave good recommendations. A great addition to the Nairobi restaurant scene.
