“Great Value Business Hotel in Nairobi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

As a frequent traveler to Kenya (I work for a NGO and travel to Kenya several times a year), I am always on the lookout of good mid-range hotels in Nairobi. Hotels in Nairobi tend to either be cheap and extremely basic, or very nice, but overpriced. The Best Western Premier might just be the first nice hotel in Nairobi that is a good value. I booked my room ahead of time online and got a rate of $130 plus tax - not bad considering older "luxury" hotels in Nairobi can cost of $300 a night. The hotel looks very new - I think it only opened several months ago. It has all of the important amenities for a business traveler: comfy bed, hot shower, fast internet, and a great breakfast spread. In addition, the hotel has an excellent gym with a beautiful view over the city and a rooftop swimming pool and bar. Service was excellent and the location of the hotel is conveniently located in the Hurlingham area of the city.

The only faults I could find with the Best Western Premier was the quality of the food at the restaurant - it was not bad, but tended to be fairly bland. The hotel's decor was modern and high quality, but lacked the character that you might find at an older hotel.

The Best Western Premier is certainly a great addition to the Nairobi hotel scene, and as long as they keep their prices reasonable, it will be my base in Nairobi for years to come!

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper floors have a great view of Nairobi. If you are staying for more than a few...

I do not recommend the hotel to anyone. while we are checking out, a group of guys came to reception (check-out desk) and try to pull us to go with them on front of Hotel security and staff. we refused and told them what do you want? To us they looks like thieves ; but they refuse to say. they insist on to go with them ...to make the story short we did not move from the reception and we called the hotel duty manager. we told him how they enter the hotel with your security . we almost also missed our flight.

Stayed here for a week for business and had a very nice stay. Staff were fantastic and were very welcoming and helpful. Room was very nice, spacious and very clean.

Not perfect though. Room had faulty lights although staff fixed it pretty swiftly. Pool was shut when I went which was a bit disappointing. Food was a bit average.

I stayed at the Best Western Premier in Nairobi In September. I booked it after reading the reviews on trip advisor. What an excellent choice! The service is excellent. Rooms are kept clean, very comfy beds, staff are friendly, free wifi all throughout the hotel, food at Pablos is good and security is excellent. Please keep it up Best Western. I am looking forward to staying with you again!

This hotel has spacious rooms and very comfy beds. It is a great city hotel but best of all was the wonderful service. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Immediate and efficient taxi service available 24/7. Location a little out of way but not too far from Nairobi city centre.
