“Authentic Italian Pizzas - Must Have!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Okay firstly, the only draw back for this place is that there is NO sign board on the main road (Ngong Road). L'Arena is located on your right hand side on Ngong road if you are driving from Nakumatt Junction sides and the left side if you are coming from Karen. They are located in a place called Shalom House.

I was slightly disappointed with their bitings (bread with cold tomatoes - didn't manage to finish one) Hope they can work on this.

Now, onto the fun part- the pizzas - one word to cover it - AwesomeLicioussss :) The pizzas are made in the brick oven powered by wood fire. So when you do take a bite from your piping hot pizza, you will be able to taste Everything (the base, The paste and the toppings).
My friends have tried their pastas and say its good too but I am all about Pizza at L"arena and have never gone wrong.
Thanks to Katra and her team for taking good care of us.
For all the cheese lovers like me, ask them to put in a good portion of cheese and you will love the strands pulling and melting in your mouth.
My favorite pizza is the margarita with a dash of green chillies. Fire it up!!

“Hidden Nook”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Its located on Ngong Road in a compound and building called Shalom House. Its difficult to find and see in the night so keep your eyes peeled on the right for its sign and building. It is also identifiable by the elec fence and large perimeter wall.Inside, drive round to the restaurant area and you can park just in front of it.There is another smaller cafe in the grounds but we did not visit it.There are about 4 tables outside and more seating outside.Service was quick efficient and knowledgeable.Pizzas and pastas were fresh, tasty and tangy with lovely flavours.A nice enjoyable place away from the normal hustle and bustle of the usual nairobi crowd.Worth checking out also as it is part of a religious organistaion doing social work in kenya.

“Not to be missed.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

This is one of those places, that you have to know where it is, being nestled just off Ngong Road in Shalom House. The staff are always friendly and they do the most amazing pizzas.

We have also had a number of great steaks and pasta here, so definitely recommended. Its a hidden gem.

“Best Pizza in Nairobi!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Hands down, the best pizza in Nairobi. Great garden for hanging out with friends and family. Bar service. Good steaks and Italian food in addition to the pizza. Try the Four Cheese pizza. It's magnificent!

To find it, it is off Ngong Road, about 0.5 km past Junction, going towards Karen. Look for a sign on the right hand side for Shalom House. Turn right and its the second gate. There is no sign for the restaurant, just Shalom House.

Also, the name of the restaurant is Larena. Not L'Arena.
