“JAVA, Airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

This is a very quick review that, I really doubt I should be making as most people who pass through JKIA would be aware of this restaurant. This is a fast paced venue inside the terminal building. It means you cannot eat there unless you have a passport (unless you work at the airport). The service is usually slow because the place is overwhelmed with visitors and sitting place is very limited.

“Its just there in the airport.....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

As its one of the 3 cafes after departure check in your really don't have much choice. Not enough tables, the juice was good and a couple of times I have grabbed a cake (both times quite stale) This Java Cafe lets down the others in town down. Coffee smelt good. Needs a make over

“Poor service and microwaved food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

Having a monopoly at JKIA, Java offers a food option with poor service. You have to ask for cutlery. Order drinks twice. The food is mostly microwaved, but they take a while to bring it so it seems like they have freshly prepared it.

The coffee is good. Get a takeaway.

Java does not show true Kenyan hospitality.

“Thank goodness!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

This is the place to head when your flight is delayed. Good coffee. That's about it though. Service when you sit is slow. At the take away section people from around the world descent and have no concept of waiting in line. But fabulous coffee. And somewhere to sit.

“Coffee house good but staff need manners.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Coffee and snacks good but buying 3 T shirts was a nightmare. Poor stock level on sizes needed and rude staff serving. Ended up buying none as sizes not in stock. No apologies from staff. Would not advertise their T shirts ever if this is what is delivered in service from management.
