Do not you think you find a museum so well done in Africa, His padigloioni are well lit but mostly filled with exhibition material. Beautiful dioramas illustrative and admire beautiful animals and stuffed birds. The pavilion of human evolution, then, well made and well taken care of.
A must for those who come to Kenya

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

You can feel the age in this place but it doesn't mean it's not an amazing way to spend the afternoon. Information is abundant and there is such a great variety of prehistoric human and modern Kenyan history. It's also an amazing oppurtunity to get up close and personal with some of the rarer animals of Africa like the aardvark or caracal in the Great Hall of Mammals.

“Room to improve”

One can see the Turkana boy. Otherwise, nothing worth noting. They can do much better considering Kenya's richeness

“Oddly old fashioned”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

A beautiful building that presents a strangely sterile view of Kenya history and wildlife. Full of stuffed animals and static displays and cavernous empty rooms it suggests an overseas "aid" project that never carried through. I got lucky and followed an excellent guide with a bunch of people from Hong Kong. The most interesting thing was a very poorly made but nevertheless riveting documentary of interviews with ex Mau Mau freedom fighters. It was stridently pro-Kenyan and anti-British, but none the worse for that.
