“Short tour of the museum”

I liked the "Ascent of Man" display...the earliest hominid fossils have been found in the Turkana area of Northern Kenya, by Louis Leakey, and the HUMONGOUS elephant!

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

After the renovation, i love the layout. Its a bit confusing but once you wrap your head around it its quite amazing.
I loved the garden and the reptile park as well. They were like an unexpected added trip. It was not pricey and worth the while! I go there over and over again.

Learned a lot about Kenya and its people. It was a great place to spend an afternoon and the walk in the garden afterwards was nice .
Would recommend this stop on your trip.

“Nairobi National Museum Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

It is an interesting place to spend a couple of hours. The best exhibits are in the Human History section which are very well labelled. It's a nice place to visit if you are by yourself and interested in history. The museum is clean and well maintained.

The snake park was average. But if you are interested, then be sure to take the combo ticket for both the museum and the snake park, the current rate is KSH 1500.

I did not find the restaurants worthwhile, their upkeep is also questionable.

All in all definitely worth visiting!
