the place had really improved and there seems to be more order than a few years ago, also the eating places are ok though on the expensive side, you need to have a little tuck shop or something for students and others who cannot afford to eat at the cafes....food for though

If you travel to Nairobi, go here! It's wonderful and has not only an amazing collection of human fossils but also tells the history of Kenya on the second floor. Very interesting and a good way to familiarize yourself with the country when you arrive. Doesn't take a lot of time to do, you can squeeze it in in a couple hours.

The skull displays were amazing. Some parts of the museum needed some attention, especially the displays. The bird display is the biggest I have ever seen and was mesmerizing. Well worth the visit!

The Naroibi National Museum is a great trip to take to learn about Kenya, its culture and people. The snake park is also on this site, though it could use an upgrade. It had been more than 30 years since I've visited it and would love to see some attention and funding to this part of the museum. Overall, the trip is a must if you are traveling to Kenya for the first time.
