“Plentiful Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

On the way from Nairobi to Samburu stopped at Safari Park Lodge for buffet breakfast.
The Lodge is situated in sprawling grounds with beautiful trees, well cared for lawns and water bodies. Seemed like a nice place to stay.
The spread was very varied with fresh salad, fruits, pancakes, egg preparations, juices, breads, rolls, buns, cakes and much more. Even water bottles were provided at no cost. Quality & quantity of food was very good. Did not stay there but looked like a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Take a swim suit & binoculars for bird watching

Had a good breakfast at Safari Park Hotel en route from Nairobi to Samburu.
Good variety of food to choose from, veg and non-veg.
Extensive grounds where one could relax or do some birding.
Unable to comment on the rooms.
Location ok if you are not wanting to go into Nairobi, otherwise rather far outside.

This is a great place to stay, food is great especially Nyama Choma (roast meat). There are 5 restaurants to choose from and a mall within walking distance where you can get good java house coffee. The staff are many and very good. The laundry service is top notch but expensive. There are a number of swimming pools in this massive complex. If you like birds then it is a perfect setting for photos.

This is the sort of hotel people stay for one night and move on. But I'd recommend staying a few nights and just enjoy this great hotel, the spa, the gardens, the great pools. Take a walk in the evening listening to all the frogs crocking away as you wander through the well lit grounds, across bridges over the 'pool/water feature'. Rooms are spacious and well decorated, beds are so comfy. This is truly the perfect start to a holiday in Kenya. Very reasonably priced. You have to watch the 'Safari Cats' show in the evening and try all sorts of meats, from goat to Ostrich etc. My husband got so excited he couldn't help but shout "yeah baby!" during the show! Kids will be kids...

First hotel we stayed at prior to starting safari. We went in the off season so it was quite quiet, also seems to be used quite a lot for conferences. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, staff very friendly and service home too. Hemmingways bar was an excellent place for a picturesque drink on the terrace. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night prior to a safari. We were greeted warmly with hot towels and a fruit juice, much needed after an overnight flight. The reception is stunning with a life size carving of an elephant; the grounds are beautiful, only regret was that it was Kenyan winter and so could not make use of the pool. Dinner was a real event as we enjoyed the array of exotic meats at the Game BBQ followed by the dance and acrobatic show. The room was large and had three large single four poster beds. The gift shop was also very reasonable. A true oasis in the middle of the Nairobi hubbub.
