“Oasis Very Near to the City”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Stayed there for company conference decent room with wooden flooring but room needs renovations for electrical work nice poster bed nice balcony with good views. Poor WiFi connection in the room otherwise good speeds in the areas where WiFi connection is strong like conference areas.

Lot of eating places Japanese , Italian , African has a casino and a nightclub decent breakfast area decent room service but there is tray charge of 3.50 USD whatever you order and whenever so order all at once what you want to order food is decently priced not very expensive for a resort like this.
Interesting place to stay just outside of Nairobi for few days but looks like the place is built mainly for conferences.

Room Tip: If you don't like to walk for long then choose rooms no starting from 200 to 300 near the pool a...

I enjoyed my week at SPH but I would not have stayed if I was vacationing on my own. The Food is quite good but everything is expensive, especially the taxis. I will say it is the most spacious place, park-like, so close to the city.

This was was third stay in this hotel set in lush African gardens in a good location with easy access to the recently completed freeway.
The rooms, reception areas, numerous restaurants and bar areas make this a real African experience. Nightly tribal dancing, a casino, various eating places and good entertainment make this location a real pleasure.
Two warnings though. This place is becoming increasingly expensive and the wifi charges are very high. In addition, if the hotel has arranged any transfers to or from the airport, ensure you triple check and have a contact number at hand, as the service is very unreliable.
However, overall the staff are friendly and it's well worth a night or two if your in Nairobi.

May have had a rose tinted view of the place as I had been living in dusty Thika for 2 months before my day of luxury at the Safari Park hotel, but was out of this world. The gardens are botantical but boast some of the natural beauty that Kenya has to offer. The pool is expansive with rock pools for relaxing as well as larger areas for swimming. There are a number of restaurants in the compound - including a gorgeous Italian that I dined at. The hotel restaurant - which offers breakfast - isn't the cheapest place to eat but has incredible variety. Although not much Kenyan cuisine if memory serves. There's also a gym and spa. I treated myself to a massage which wasn't very expensive and was ridiculously relaxing. I didn't stay the night at this hotel but if the rooms are anything like the overall feel of the place I cannot imagine anyone being anything other than delighted.

If you enjoy living in a botanical garden in a busy African city, this is the place for you. The landscape gardening cannot be matched for its variety and scale and upkeep. This is the perfect place to hold a residential workshop with spacious conference facilities and access to lawns for outside activities. The only disadvantage is that the lighting is sombre, more suited to a gala evening than a learning space. The hotel is certainly geared up to catering for events on a grand scale. During my stay there was a massive Indian wedding glittering enough to shame any Bollywood film set. The restaurants are fine if you don't have to use them every day. The hotel is located too far from downtown Nairobi to risk eating beyond the safety of the hotel walls. The rooms look a little tired and could do with some renovation. But a good place to start or end an adventure in a real Safari Park..

Just spent one night in Nairobi, coming from abroad and en route to central Kenya. Fantastic experience at Safari Park Hotel: not too far from the airport, very comfortable room, friendly staff, 4 or five restaurants in the compound, nice park, gym and FANTASTIC dance show during dinner! No need to take taxis; no waste of time, no risks ... great to have all in one place.
