“The Garden Hotel in a City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

The Fairview Hotel in the Embassy Region of Nairobi is a great paradise of greenery and gardens amidst the hustle and bustle of the city center. Security here is very strict but that makes visitors and tourists feel safe. I would hasten to suggest this is the safest hotel to stay when visiting Nairobi. The grounds are fantastic for a city location. Great restaurants are available on site so there is really no need to leave the complex for any services. The staff are helpful, polite, efficient and exceptionally well mannered. I will be returning to stay here in June 2013. When visiting Nairobi or just stopping off, this is the place to stay. Rooms are spacious and well equipped.

Have just completed a two week stay here while my husband was working. This is our first visit back after twenty years, we loved the Fairview then, and we love it even more now. There are lots of rooms, but thoughtfully positioned so there is always an intimate small hotel feeling. The staff are all utterly delightful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is a feast. Evening meals beautifully presented and delicious. Best of all for me has been the beautiful gardens so sensitively planted and luscious. In what can be a pretty hectic city this really is a little piece of heaven. The Fairview fully deserves it's excellent rating.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a bath - some only have a shower.

A businessman should look no further. The Fairview is good value for money and offers not only top security which makes for peace of mind, but also offers all amenities from outside garden and poolside facilities with fair privacy, a first class meeting room, business centre, conference centres, Wi-Fi in all rooms, and a variety of rooms from first class to large suites at fair prices. The staff are friendly and helpful, service is great and the food is excellent.
The buck stops here.

Room Tip: Book at least a first class room to have access to amenities for businessmen.

I stayed for 1 night this last time but have stayed on other occasions. On this trip, I stayed at a view different hotels within this 1 business trip week and I have to say the stay at Fairview was the most enjoyable.I was sad it was only for 1 night and had to move on to a different hotel next day due to requirements of my business itinerary.
Fairview has great ambience, beautiful gardens and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food was delicious and service by all members of staff friendly and efficient.
I would definitely recommend it to everyone and will be back at the next opportunity.

Keep up the good work team Fairview.

Stayed one week for business. Good service, better than average (for Nairobi) internet, beautiful grounds, room was in outer building, plenty of space for work. Would definitely return as most other hotels . in Nairobi could be anywhere in the world or off a freeway in the mid-west

Room Tip: For business upgrade one level to make sure you have desk and outlets for chargers. Check room out b...

We just stayed here a few weeks ago (early May). Loved it. We had stayed on the front end of our trip at another lovely hotel in Nairobi but we were amazed to find this place and wished we had more days. It really is such a lovely surprise! The landscaping and gardens and spacious lay out, several restaurants, wonderful staff, very comfy room - really loved the Fairview.

I stayed at the Fairview with a friend, and although we were in Economy rooms, we had plenty of space, the beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Staff were all very welcoming and we enjoyed most of the food in three different restaurants. The gardens were a welcome relief from the traffic outside and we felt very safe.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nairobi.
