Spinner's web is a great one-stop shop for good quality crafts - from pottery to bead work to rugs and clothing. You get to see the best of Kenyan craftsmanship under one roof - and the carrot cake at the Cafe is wonderful. Having said that, the goods are a bit pricey. If you're on a budget you may fare better at the weekly Maasai markets at Village Market (Fridays), Westgate (Tuesday), Yaya (Sundays). But be prepared to haggle. Spinner's web is an entirely more relaxed affair.

Not to be missed if you appreciate quality handmade products! A lovely peaceful setting with high quality original and unique gift items.

The variety of crafts is amazing from handmade quality leather goods, to woven wall hangings, jewellery to items made from coffee wood such as bowls.

The shop is a cooperative with the products arriving direct from the artisans so the prices are fair. Each artisan has a room or a section - my favourite room has to be the leather shop in the main house as you enter to your left - I think it is called Aranibar, with very original products with so much variety - you can even go to their workshop to see how they make their products. I bought beautiful leather cushions and table mats.

It was great that they also have a coffee shop so you can take a break in between shopping!

For travellers who visit Kenya and want to take home some souvenirs, but don't want the hassle of going to the Markets where traders follow you, you have to haggle for a decent price, you get hot and sweaty and you just don't get a chance to window shop- Spinners web is the perfect place.
I now live in Nairobi and go once a month and always leave with something. I also take all our visitors there and they always but things to take home. It has nearly everything you can buy at the markets and the prices are reasonable. There is a little cafe and the staff are lovely and friendly.
Definately worth a visit.
