“Secure, homely, top service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

I was in Shalom House for two weeks in August 2010 on holidays and to visit some social project of Koinonia Community. The rooms are clean and the personnel very friendly and helpful. The food is well prepared and abundant. The big secure garden a welcome relax after the hectic ways of Nairobi. A great value for money. An homely and youthful atmosphere. Will make sure to go back.

This was part of our first trip to Kenya and we couldn't have been more impressed. The place is well-situated, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food and rooms are more than adequate. We were impressed and would recommend this to anyonw who asked.

i was there on business and the staff are really excellent: understanding, polite, considerate and attentive to guests' needs. The place is safe and in a secure environment very close town. The rooms are great and the food: you gona leak your fingers.

i visited shalom house for the first time in 2001...it was under construction!
I flew back to Nairobi in 2004 and stayed there for 3 weeks with my husband. it's a comfortable place, hot water ,nice and clean single, double or multiple rooms. The conforts of the hotels at a cheaper price!
People are kind and open to help you to set up your daily schedule in Nairobi.Shalom house is the right place to stay if you don't want to live the stress of the downtown. There is a fabulous garden, perfect also for families with children. it's a safe place with guardians, there are two restaurants and a warm atmosphere.
we fly to nairobi almost every year and we always choose to stay in Shalom House.

I was in shalom house for long periods since 2006 (up to sept 2011). it is a safe and welcoming place. the staff is friendly, discreet and available to meet your every need. shalom house has a wireless connection and a very efficient taxi service, meeting spaces and a very quiet garden. and the cuisine at "baraza café" is very good! I would not go anywhere else!
