Gazebo Grill is across the street from the Crowne Plaza in the Upper Hill district. It is a choma restaurant (Kenyan speciality, large portions of beef or chicken--occasionally you can see the cook hacking away at a carcass suspended from a hook in a room visible to diners just off the kitchen) so the limited menu is largely based on variations of these two meats; the vegetarian choices appear to be an afterthought.. Large portions, moderate prices, good value. It has several dining areas, The restaurant and bar draw lots of locals of various nationalities. It changes its theme during the day--evenings until 7:35 it is a sports bar, then they put on African music except Fri-Sat when they go disco. If you're staying at the Crowne Plaza, you can get a good breakfast (juice, fresh fruit, cereal, toast or popover, eggs, coffee/tea) for KSh 500, a seventh of what you'd pay at the hotel (though the eggs are cooked to death).
