My wife & I reserved a table for supper in the dining area for a quieter, more intimate time together rather than go into the bar area that was packed and lively with lots of people even early in the evening. The setting and ambiance of the restaurant were great. There were open tables available but we picked a comfortable semi-circular booth that gave us some privacy but also a nice view of the brewing vats and the open kitchen. The area seemed designed to space diners appropriately and keep noise levels to a minimum.
The food presentation was excellent, very attractively and creatively done, from appetizer to main course. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her T-bone steak. I enjoyed my sirloin steak selection less. I found the ends extremely tough and against my better judgement had accepted a medium-well recommendation, which for me resulted in a chewy and rather tasteless meat dish.
I was tempted to try the beer sampler option for drinks, but decided it would be too much. Consequently I went for a medium beer that I found quite delightful.
I'd try this restaurant again, primarily for the atmosphere, but also for another chance to try a steak, this time done to my preferred level of well-done, to see if it tastes as good as the reviews say it should!
