“Feed a giraffe!”

My first encounter with a giraffe was feeling the lips pick up feed from my hands. They are surprisingly soft and gentle. Walking through Karen Blixen's house and remembering scenes from the movie "Out of Africa" made everything come alive. She was an incredible woman that left an indelible mark in Kenya.

“Our favorite Giraffe "Helen"”

What a Wonderful experience feeding the Giraffes. I've always admired these beautiful and elegant creatures that God created and boy are they BEAUTIFUL! This was the limelight of our vacation to be able to feed Giraffes. We fell in love with "HELEN"...what a beauty! This is definitely a museum to visit if you can't go on a safari.

giraffe centre is a must in nairobi. yu actually feed the giraffes. there are quite a few of them. even the shop is resonable priced. go early as possible to spend more time.

Proximity to the city and the animal orphanage as well as rangers restaurant and the great drive looking for wildlife...must do stop over in Nairobi.

“Out of Africa house”

Visiting the house of " I had a farm in Africa at the foot of the Ngong Hills" puts much of the film Out of Africa" (Meryl Streep/Robert Redford etc) into context. The house and grounds are simply wonderful and the tour guides knowledgeable. It is not badly priced either.
