“java fanatic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

i am a java fanatic. i think i go to java at least thrice a week. i almost know their menu by heart. the chicken breast mushroom with rice and thousand island dressing is yummy.i am yet to get disappointed with a java meal. from quesadilas to burritos to chicken curry, pastries, coffee, or ice tea flavored with passion, java always makes for a delectable meal.

the waiters are friendly, but java Gigiri needs to add that personal touch. it always takes long for me to get served there.the salads are fantastic as well for those watching weight as well as the icecream.

if you have never been to java, dont let another day pass you by. go ahead and proof my rating judicious!

“Best coffee in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

This is a great place for your morning latte and a salad or sandwich at lunch. Service is fast, seating both inside and out is nice. There is also one in the airport, but be prepared for both of them to be quite busy. At the airport is a line, in town they seem to move really fast. We also purchased a nice mug and tee shirt as souvenirs of Nairobi.

“Decent coffee and OK food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Was looking forward to visiting Java again after eight years away from Nairobi. This used to be a sunday brunch favourite. It's still good but not as good as I remember, Ordered the pancakes and you couldn't have served a smaller portion of syrup making the pancakes rather dry.

“Good Food but place is stuffy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

The food and coffees are excellent. The place is however so stuffy and hot. I think the ventilation is poor. the management may have to look into these. Friday evenings is really full. You have to shout and fan yourself to survive.
I recommend a quite coffee or light meal during the mid morning before the place becomes a beehive of activity.
