A place with wonderful setting and hospitality.THINK FOR a place to take somebody out this is the place.

Was looking forward to visiting Java again after eight years away from Nairobi. This used to be a sunday brunch favourite. It's still good but not as good as I remember, Ordered the pancakes and you couldn't have served a smaller portion of syrup making the pancakes rather dry.

The food and coffees are excellent. The place is however so stuffy and hot. I think the ventilation is poor. the management may have to look into these. Friday evenings is really full. You have to shout and fan yourself to survive.
I recommend a quite coffee or light meal during the mid morning before the place becomes a beehive of activity.

We went here for breakfast one morning before our shuttle to Tanzania. We thought it had decent coffee and breakfast items. We even planned to return during our 2nd day in Nairobi at the end of the trip. The croissants were moist and flaky. We had a croissant sandwich, with fruit, juice, and coffee. Even with the limited options travel guides and sites recommend, I'd say it's still a safe bet to go here for breakfast.
