“Best Looking, not Best Tasting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

I've been coming to Moonflower for a decade -- since right around its opening -- and the menu has scarcely changed. There's assorted items -- grilled (I prefer the snapper), asian-style, Indian-style, even some Italian. It's a restaurant that doesn't know what it is. There's a new chef in the past few months, but so far, it's hard to see any real change. The music and ambience, however, are first rate, as is the gorgeous bar area.

“Assorted Modern Menu & Live Jazz by the Pool Side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The MoonFlower restaurant is a part of Palacina Residence and Suites. Decked up & tasteful interiors. Food was nice with a practically mixed International Cuisine. The live music was entertaining and matched the aesthetics. Value for Money - Yes!!!

“Very proper place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

I was there a long time ago, loved the food, loved the low volume piped music but it was so cold there.

“Tranquil but a bit customer-service tone-deaf”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

I won't belabour the points about the serene setting or the refreshingly nonstandard food; both are true and make for a generally positive experience. And while the host did squeeze us in despite our not having a reservation, the waiter was foolish enough to stand watch directly over our table once the bill was brought though we weren't ready (mistake #1), reach awkwardly over me (and close to my face) to retrieve it once we had put down money (mistake #2) and visibly count the money in front of us (mistake #3) while we watched, dumbfounded. So overall less-than-excellent for this silly behaviour.

“still a beauty even without the tent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Visited one of my favorite restaurant restaurant in Nairobi; even though the tent shelter at the outdoor section is gone owing to ongoing renovations I left satisfied that I got value for my money thanks to a samptous rib eye stick and great service. will be back. mwangi
