“Good location. Clean rooms but poor breakfast.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

The hotel is located in a quite location, within 10 minutes walk to the CBD. Nice and clean rooms. Good garden, swimming pool and bar. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only problem is that it doesnt have aircon, so i can imagine staying here in summer will be terrible. Also the breakfast is of poor quality.

Room Tip: Pick a garden facing or pool facing room, you can't miss anything.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning, and once in the middle of a G Adventures trip in February.

We had asked for a room with 2 beds for the first stay and ended up getting one, but we were so tired after flying that we just left it. Wasn't really a major issue. They did accommodate my request for a quiet room so we could sleep comfortably (the second stay our room was one the front of the hotel so all night and early morning traffic was a bother as we had to keep the windows open to stay cool enough to sleep).

The bathroom was spacious and clean, but hot water was not usually something we had. The garden view was beautiful. The restaurant was ok, lots of choices but it was not the best food I've ever eaten. Breakfast was particularly unappetizing, but it filled my stomach and got me set for the day.

We walked to the Fairmont one night to use the internet as, of course, it was down at the Boulevard. It was a decent value, we got a good nights sleep on a relatively comfortable bed with clean sheets. This is a decent stay to begin a tour with. Lower your expectations about the food you have at home and you'll be fine.

Hotel used by G Adventures to launch trips out of Nairobi. Hotel staff were helpful, rooms clean and adequate. Hotel itself was a little dated but OK. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Hotel is located next to national Museum if you are looking for something to do nearby.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the garden side of the hotel Front side is close to noisy roadway with lots...

We had to stay here for one night as we were joining a G Adventures tour from the Hotel the next morning. We didn't expect it to be the Hilton and it wasn't. However it was as good as we expected it to be. The pool was great which we made use of. The rooms were clean and tidy so we got a decent nights sleep which was all we needed.

We had to stay at the Boulevard because we were joining a tour that started from there. The place and the location was good. Clean and good facilities. Definitely overpriced if you pay the 210$ per night that would be the official cost, just ok if you pay the 110$ that we paid on Expedia.

The Sentrim Boulevard is close to the National Museum, University of Nairobi and the Kenya National Theatre. It's quite centrally located, yet quiet and peaceful. After the safari, we found the overall ambience of the hotel was one of cleanliness and comfort. The have a nice outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and a business centre. Restaurant serves good food (breakfast was complimentary), and a bar. They have a gift shop - picked a nice cotton shirt from there - just what I was looking for but couldn't find elsewhere. The rooms are air-conditioned, have TVs with free movie channels, have mini-bars and safes. There's also a writing desk and direct dial telephones. Complimentary toiletries in bathrooms which are clean, with a bidet and hair-dryers an fresh towels. Will definitely stay there on my next visit to Nairobi.

Room Tip: We took a room facing the lawns - very peaceful.

A decent hotel - friendly service, reasonable location, good food and a pool. It's no luxury resort, but after a rough safari in the Mara it feels luxurious. The shower is amazing - high pressure and great hot water.
