I stayed four nights at this hotel in October 2009. The price was good for Nairobi, around US $70, but I can't recommend it. The hotel is old and lacks modern amenities. There's a terrible internet room with slow computers tucked away on the 2nd floor. There's a loud casino/disco on the ground floor and meeting rooms on 2nd floor that blast music quite late. The bar & restaurant served mediocre food, was overpriced, and was unenjoyable. As a single, male traveler, I really didn't appreciate the local women in the restaurant aggressivly attempting to engage me in conversation and more. The beds were old and saggy, bathrooms dirty, hot water sporadic, and no screens on the windows allowed many mozzies in. It seems popular with African travelers, I saw many Somali, Ethiopian, and West African guests there. That was interesting to me, but the only other positives are the price and downtown location.
