“A nice little hotel, with great view of the national park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed at the Ole Sereni for 1 night as we waited for our trip to the Mara. The hotel is very nice, very clean and neat though a bit small when it comes to the rooms which you wont mind anyway since you should'nt spend much time in your room while in Kenya.
The hotel houses 3 restaurants, which all have the same great view of the park and its a treat to be having your meal whilst hoping to catch a glimpse of a wild animal. The only thing that slightly put me off was the large amount of business people at the hotel.... since the last thing I want to see while on vacation is a bunch of corporate guys in their suits.
Be sure to get a room that faces the park not the road as we did. And if you have time its worth visiting the park.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a room facing the National park and not the backside of the hotel which is a road con...

Needed to stay overnight in nairobi and after a long flight i wanted it near the airport. So good location, its clean and comfortable, a nice buzz ( BA crew stayed here), nice restaurant.,, NOT great room service menu... Very limited. The only thing id criticise is the slow service... Took forever to check in and out, room service and to get an extra bed for my son!!! Zzzz. But on the whole a good hotel and worth its money if you find a cheap internet deal. Friendly staff... Would stay here again! And do not listen if they tell you its takes 2 hours to wilson airport in traffic!! They made us leave at 7:30 for a check-in at 10:00... We got there in 30mins.... I was soooo angry about this. And we left in peak hour traffic!! Gggrrrrr my only gripe :(

Stayed here on a dayroom basis before catching our flight back to London. This is a big hotel and as such the service is like a big hotel. We were hot, tired and dirty from our safari in the Mara having just arrived at Wilson Airport and it took us almost two hours to get our key. The chap behind the counter couldn't get the system to release a key for us. After about thirty minutes of standing at the check in desk, he finally got someone with a pass key to take us to the room. We had a shower and a brush-up then went downstairs for something to eat passing by reception to finally get our key. Lunch was served to us by a rather surly waitress but the food (burger) was very nice. We had a deluxe room which was good with a lovely shower. Unfortunately it was on a low floor so had no hope of seeing any animals in Nairobi Park if they happened to wander by....trees in the way. The hotel has lots of art work and quite a few of the pieces I fancied! The bar is good and the tourist shop is excellent. A very friendly fellow was working that Sunday and we had a lovely chat.

Room Tip: Get a higher floor if you want to look into the park.

We stayed here for several hours for our long flight home after the safari. It is close to the airport. It is very clean with good food. I would recommend it as transit hotel, but not for leisure. The hotel is next to the game park with construction surrounding the hotel.

OLE-SERENI has become my safe haven between my long flight journeys between Mogadishu, Somalia, and Canada via London, UK. I feel at home and I thank OLE-SERENI friendly staff for everything. Great beer, food and atmosphere by the pool and terrace overlooking the Game Park. Check out their SPA (steam bath, sauna, gym...) and even consider a foot massage and a haircut....before getting back on the plane. Rooms are very comfortable.

Room Tip: Book ahead and get a room overlooking the Game Park.
