I have been a regular visitor to Nairobi since +- 1996 and must record that this review may be influenced by my stay in 2013 when I first resided here for 10 days a month over about a 6 month period, during which time I became acquainted with a number of staff members. I have since stayed over at this establishment a number of times with the most recent being last weekend.
Based on today's rack rates charged what do guests expect from the proprietors and staff? Five star service at a modest charge of +-KES 4500 per night bed and breakfast? My experience has generally been positive and where there has been a problem, attempts have been made to address this.
I made my recent inquiry about accommodation via email and secured a confirmed reservation within an acceptable time - thank you Edith. Arrival was greeted from the security "Askari" to the dining room and cleaning staff. Check-in was prompt, my bags taken to my room. On arrival the room was clean with fresh linen and was cleaned every day.
As always, I had a limited choice at meal times but slept reasonably well. If one chooses an accommodation establishment adjacent to one of Nairobi's largest and most well known entertainment venues (it is reflected on google maps and won a number of awards) then one cannot expect anything but "rhythmic music whilst you sleep".
Thank you to Mme Njeri and staff for arrangements at my most recent stay.
