Kentmere has not changed in years. This is a good thing. I find it to be in a time warp from the 70's, and the furniture, waiters, crockery, etc., is all the same. We went for lunch on a Sunday, and they were reasonably busy. Sitting under the trees, we had a few bottles of wine, and a great 3 course lunch.
Kentmere serves classics such as gamekeepers pate, french onion soup, vol-au-vents, chateau briand, etc. Service is extremely efficient, and well times. The food is very good, and excellent value for money. Don't expect Michelin stared food, but quality, no nonsense fare.
I love the drive out there, and the setting is beautiful.
