We are a family of four (two boys 12 and 14 years old) who returned to Kenya after 13 years. We used to live in Nairobi, and Miti Mingi reminded us a lot of our previous home. Rooms are clean and spacious. We spent long evenings on the sofas in the garden where Patrick and Alfred made wonderful fires. Mary made us breakfasts that were better than in many four-star hotels we have stayed in! She also arranged airport transfers and taxis for us whenever we wanted to go somewhere so we knew we were paying fair prices and the drivers were very, very nice. Miti Mingi also kept our luggage when we were away on safari for a few days. Being able to use the kitchen during the days and evenings was a huge plus since it meant we didn't have to go out for all our meals. The guesthouse is not luxurious, but it's exactly what you want for a few days' stay in Nairobi! We felt safe at all times and really enjoyed this comfortable and quiet place. The boys loved the monkeys in the garden. Wish we had stayed a little bit longer! We will return!
