This camp site is truly a wonderful experience of living close to nature but also feeling safe. The service is excellent, nothing is too much trouble and there is a friendly feel to the place.
The food was the best food experienced on my whole trip being fresh and tasty.

We visited Masai Mara and stayed 2 nights (September 4th and 5th) in Ol Moran tented camp. The first night dinnerbuffet was cold. The staff was serving us in wintercoats. Nice camp, basic tents, good beds, clean place.

This location is a 10 minutes drive from the Masai Mara national park. The camp works with a generator wich means that you only have electricity during the evening hours from 7 till 11 pm and in the morning from 6 or 7 till 9 am. The tents are very basic but clean. The meals are in buffet, you do not have a lot of choice but the quality is good. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. When we sat on the balcony from our tent we saw a baboon walking wich makes this tented camp a little bit more special.

First make the choice of why you're in the Maasai Mara; to spend your time in the camp or maximize your time out seeing the incredible wildlife. If you're there to see the wildlife, then choose a tented camp like Ol-moran that is clean, safe, conveniently-located and relatively inexpensive. It provides a good place to rest up for the next day's exhilarating journey. My wife and I found the staff to be just what was needed after a day on the road. The tents are clean and the food adequate. Then on to the real attraction!
