Loved this place. Good variety of stores. Got some art, groceries, and clothes for my family. Excellent food court. A bit upscale.

Within walking distance from the UN.

“One Stop for Everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

Liked the fact that this "mall" is quite unlike any I have encountered in North America. Nice mix of indoor and outdoor areas. Many options for eating and a remarkably good variety of shops, many of which specialize in genuine Kenyan arts and crafts. And it has a Nakomat - excellent for staples and sundries. Needed bubble wrap and packing tape before flying home. As we were staying at Tribe, I found what I needed at Nakomat in five minutes. Perfect for last minute gifts. And make a point of checking out Sand Storm for excellent leather goods

“Without a doubt the worst mall I have ever been to - a design disaster”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

First up, if you have problems with mobility, or are with children in prams, forget Village Market. The spaces to walk are narrow, and the place is FULL of stairs - no lift, stairs everywhere.

Disney, Ikea et al have spent time and money working on flow - to ensure that customers travel in a logical way through their attractions. That lesson was missed on the designers of this place - its quite the most confusing layout of a mall I have ever encountered! What's even more laughable is that their website actually boasts about the design!

Your problems begin with the totally inadequate parking space - so once you have waited and waited to park in the tiny car park (or left your car on the street) you then have to try and find your way around. Maps? Forget it - even the security guards don't seem to know where anything is when you ask them.

The food court is OK but tables are not cleaned, so good luck finding somewhere nice to sit.

All in all, this place is an attraction because its Nairobi and lets face it, there is not that much competition - otherwise it would not even be worth a mention...

“A little oasis”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

A range of speciality shops, cafes, restaurants, bowling ally, waterpark and other entertainment. One of the best things about this place is the open air rambling village feel.

One point to note it has a very good sports shop, probably the best of the shopping malls in Nairobi plus a very good electrical/electronics accessories shop where you can haggle the price down a little.

There is a play area for younger kids so there is plenty to do. one problem, it's not the cheepest place in the world.

“Good for shopping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Shop local masai crafts here at the roof top. Its safer though alittle bit expensive than in the streets of Nairobi. Alot of eating places as well as other shops that you can get quality authentic goods.
